Some spent their working lives tucked away in fire stations, hanging ready for the moment they were needed most.

This remarkable lamp began life as a British fire hose nozzle, paired with a section of genuine fire hose that now forms its distinctive base. While its exact age has been lost to time, the craftsmanship tells its own story. Solid, purposeful and built to endure, it was designed for service rather than decoration.

Years later, its working days may be over, but its story isn't.

The metalwork has been carefully hand polished to reveal the beautiful bright finish hidden beneath decades of wear, bringing new life to a piece that would otherwise have been forgotten. Every mark, scratch and subtle imperfection remains a reminder of its past; evidence of a life spent doing something important.

Every lamp comes with a bulb, so it's ready to enjoy when it arrives. Where possible, we'll include the bulb shown in the photos. If it isn't available, we'll send a suitable replacement instead.

To transform it into a functional piece for modern living, it has been professionally wired using antique-style three-core braided jute flex, complete with an inline switch and UK plug. The natural texture of the cable, a nod to the current uniform with highlights in neon yellow, to complement the industrial character of the nozzle, creating a lamp that feels equally at home in an urban loft, creative workspace or character-filled home.
