Built by Partridge Wilson and Co ltd in the 1950s in Leicester, this vintage Davenset Model H MK 7 battery charger spent its working life helping to bring dead batteries back to life. Designed for garages, workshops and tinkerers, it was built in an era when things were engineered to last, with sturdy steel construction and a no-nonsense industrial aesthetic that still feels as relevant today as it did over seventy years ago.

Rather than letting it gather dust in a forgotten corner of a workshop, we've given it a new purpose.

The original steel casing has been carefully hand polished to reveal the beautiful metalwork beneath, while preserving the natural patina, marks and character earned through decades of service. Paired with striking red braided flex, the result is a lamp that proudly celebrates its industrial roots whilst feeling perfectly at home in a modern interior.

Professionally rewired with three-core braided red cable, an inline switch and UK plug, The Jump Start combines vintage character with modern safety. All electrical work has been completed to current UK and EU regulations.

It's no longer bringing batteries back to life, now it's lighting up rooms.

Every lamp comes with a bulb, so it's ready to enjoy when it arrives. Where possible, we'll include the bulb shown in the photos. If it isn't available, we'll send a suitable replacement instead.
